Marriagement

Marriage
'When someone with whose religion and character you are satisfied asks your daughter in marriage, accede to his request. If you do not do so, there will be temptation on earth and extensive corruption.'- Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 3090 Narrated by Abu Hurayrah

Allah is enough for you

He will be Enough For You
“If you fear Allah, He will be enough for you so that you do not need people. And if you fear people, they will not satisfy you in the least terms of your total dependence on Allah” - Sufyan al-Thawri

Sound intention

Sound Intention

Soundness of the heart is by sound actions, and soundness of actions is with a sound intention.- Mutarrif bin Abdullah
قال مطرف بن عبد الله -رضي الله عنه-: "صلاح القلب بصلاح العمل، وصلاح العمل بصلاح النية"

Knowledeable

Knowledgeable
"Whoever is given knowledge that doesn't make him weep, then clearly he has not been given knowledge that benefits, because Allah, the Most High has describe the knowledgeable by saying the verses, 17:107-109
Say: "Whether ye believe in it or not, it is true that those who were given knowledge beforehand, when it is recited to them, fall down on their faces in humble prostration,"And they say: 'Glory to our Lord! Truly has the promise of our Lord been fulfilled!'"They fall down on their faces in tears, and it increases their (earnest) humility."
Abdul A'laa al Taymee

Go easy

Go Easy
No amount of guilt can change the past, and no amount of worrying can change the future. Go easy on yourself, for the outcome of all affairs is determined by Allah's decree. If something is meant to go elsewhere, it will never come your way, but if it is yours by destiny, from it you cannot flee.

Stranger or traveller

like a stranger or a traveler
Ibn Umar narrates: one day I was with the Messenger of Allah (Sal Allahu Alayhi wa Sallam). He then turned to me, held my shoulders with both of his blessed hands, and said: "Be in this life like a stranger or a traveler."

Imprisoned

Imprisoned
"To be imprisoned behind bars is a loss, but to be imprisoned by one's own desires and to become a slave to one's self is the ultimate loss." ~ Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim

My son

O My Son!
O my son! Beware of talking about things or people except after you are sure of the soundness of the source. And when anyone comes to you with some news, scrutinize it before you act rashly. And beware of rumors. Neither believe everything that is said nor half of what you see. And when Allah tests you with an enemy, resist him with ihsan. “Repel (the evil) with that which is better…” I swear by Allah that the enmity will turn into love—just imagine!

Travelling

Travel
When you desire to discover the true worth of a friend, travel with him because during travel, a person is unveiled. The external appearance melts away and the true self is uncovered. And why else is travel (safar) called “the one which uncovers”? Except because it discloses the actual manners and character.

Attacking someone

When People Attack You
And when people attack you while you are upon the truth or malign you with criticism, then rejoice. They are actually saying to you that you are productive and influential. For a dead dog is not kicked and stones are not cast except upon fruitful trees.

Honeybee

Honeybee Not Fly
O my son! When you criticize anyone, then it is the glance of the honeybee which you must cast in order to see. And do not look at people with the eye of a fly for you will then land only on what is filthy.

Sleeping early

Sleep Early!
Sleep early, o my son. For blessing in provision is in the morning. And I fear that the provision of al-Rahman will pass you by because you spent the night awake!

Trust

Trust
O my son! I shall relate to you the story of the sheep and the wolf so that you do not trust the one who plots and conspires. And when anyone places his trust in you, beware—beware indeed—of betrayal! I shall take you to the lion’s den and teach you that the lion did not become king of the jungle because it can roar but rather because it has self-respect! He does not settle down upon the prey of others no matter how hungry he is—even if he is starving to death! Don’t steal the hard work of others for then you shall have acted unjustly.
